Daniel Muñoz is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at UNC Chapel Hill, where he is also Core Faculty in the Philosophy, Politics, and Economics Program. He is the author, with Sarah Stroud, of Ethical Theory: 50 Puzzles, Paradoxes, and Thought Experiments (Routledge, 2024), and his next book project is What We Owe to Ourselves (under contract with Oxford University Press). His paper “Each Counts for One” was selected by The Philosopher’s Annual as one of the top 10 articles in the field from 2024. Since 2025, he has posted essays and interviews for a public audience on his Substack, BIG iff TRUE. Starting in August 2026, he will be Senior Lecturer at the Australian National University, where he has been affiliated since 2017. Over the summer in 2026, Prof. Muñoz will be a fellow at the Human Abilities Centre, where he will be working on a project about the duty to develop one's talents, as well as a project in action theory about the ability to control one's intentions.
