I’m an assistant professor in philosophy at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. My recent work has focused on concepts and their relation to language, perception, and social cognition. During my time at the Human Abilities Center, I will explore the relationship between modal concepts and 'core cognition'—i.e., innate, domain-specific knowledge systems with distinctive signature limits that sit at the interface of perception and cognition.
