I am a Professor of Theoretical Philosophy at Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf. My research interests include philosophy of language and epistemology, with work on modality, conditionals, implicatures and presuppositions, indexicality and context-sensitivity, luminosity principles, and attitude ascriptions. I am currently especially interested in the interaction between modality and mood, on the one hand, and modality and assertability, on the other.
