I joined the Human Abilities Centre as a Fellow in October 2021. Before that, I worked as a Lecturer and Research Assistant at HU Berlin, as a Research Associate at ANU Canberra and TU Dresden, and as a Visiting Professor at University of Hamburg. My research focuses on foundational questions in normative ethics and metaethics, but I also have interests in epistemology, political philosophy and applied ethics. In my dissertation The Normativity of Rationality, I defend the view that rationality is a matter of responding correctly to reasons. During my time as a fellow, I examine philosophical questions about the ability of reasons-responsiveness, both concerning the nature and the normative and meta-normative relevance of this ability.
