Student Assistant, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin
I am a Master’s student in Philosophy at Humboldt University of Berlin, with a background in Art and Visual History and prior philosophy studies at the University of St Andrews. Previously, I worked as a student assistant at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science. My interests lie at the intersections of epistemology, action theory, philosophy of language, and critical social philosophy. I focus on the abilities of human and non-human beings to know, act, and speak, with particular attention to how these abilities manifest in diverse acts of communication and epistemic exchange. Specifically, I analyse how systems of knowledge structure perception and how epistemic frameworks can be reconfigured through interdisciplinary, intersectional, and cross-cultural engagement. For example, I investigate how linguistic and pictorial speech acts function in political discourse to shape and transform beliefs about social categories. Drawing on comparative perspectives, including Western and early Chinese traditions in the philosophy of language and epistemology, deepens my understanding of these phenomena.
